Great story. Factories were not only American but decentralized, so most things were made by people you might know. Your bikes were probably made in Dayton by Huffy, and Mr Smith's cash register was also made in Dayton by NCR.

I was 15 years old that year, but I can relate to this as if I was a kid like you were. Life was full and vibrant, for everyone. It was a beautiful summer.

We did not detect the dark forces moving in.
